Founded in 2022 by Pat Bulcock and Claire Plant, StypeX Ltd. was built on a simple belief: there’s a smarter, more efficient and more comfortable way to work.
With years of experience across the construction, agricultural and forestry industries, we understand the challenges faced by machine owners and operators. We saw an opportunity to offer something different — quality products that allow operators to personalise their machinery while improving safety, efficiency and comfort on site.
We’re proud to be the UK importer for MittX Light Bars, Novatron Xsite Easy and Swextil Cab Mats as well as a stocking agent for Lazer Lamps work lights. Alongside our own established product range, from dipper guards to boot trays, we’re continually searching for innovative products that fill gaps in the UK market and deliver real benefits to the end user.
Having spent years working in the tiltrotator industry alongside forward-thinking people and businesses, we know the value of looking beyond the conventional. That experience continues to shape the products we source and the partnerships we build.

Meet The Team
Founder
Pat Bulcock
Pat has worked in the construction and agricultural machinery industries since 1997, beginning his career in sales with Burgess Agricultural. He went on to hold a variety of roles with leading construction machinery manufacturers and dealerships, gaining valuable experience across the industry with brands including Terex, Benford, Volvo CE, Atlas Copco, Manitou and Engcon AB. In 2009, Pat became the driving force behind Steelwrist UK Ltd., playing a key role in bringing innovative tiltrotator solutions to the UK market. His extensive industry knowledge, commercial experience and passion for innovation continue to shape his approach to finding smarter solutions for machine owners and operators.

Claire Plant
Claire has enjoyed a varied and exciting career, beginning with eight years as an equine event rider, competing and working across Belgium and France. Working in such a competitive environment helped shape the drive and commitment she brings to everything she does. Upon returning to the UK, Claire transitioned into the corporate world, beginning a career as an Optical Account Manager. Working with brands such as Kodak and Nikon, she developed valuable experience in account management, customer relationships and business development. Her diverse background, combining an international sporting career with commercial experience, brings a unique perspective to StypeX, where building strong partnerships and understanding customer needs remain at the heart of the business.

Throughout my career, I’ve always believed that looking after customers properly is just as important as the products you sell. When someone invests in a product, they deserve quality, honest advice and the support to go with it. For me, the job doesn’t end when the product is delivered. Providing reliable back-up, being available when needed and building relationships that last are all part of delivering a first-class service.
This is something Claire and I have carried through to StypeX Ltd. We want our customers to feel confident that they’re getting the right product for their needs, backed by people who understand the industry and genuinely care about the outcome. We’re always looking for quality products that can bring real benefits to UK machine owners and operators, whether that means improving efficiency, making the working day more comfortable or simply offering something new that they haven’t had the opportunity to experience before.
We’ll continue to develop the StypeX product range as the right opportunities come along. Having spent many years in the industry, I know how important it is to keep moving forward, listen to customers and be open to new ideas. We won’t add products to our range just for the sake of it — they need to offer genuine value, meet our expectations for quality and, most importantly, give our customers something worthwhile.

Pat has been involved with suppling and installing equipment on all our excavators over the last decade, including setting up our latest Mecalac skid excavator with a wrist, especially on the programming side, with a very keen, if not slightly obsessive, attention to detail, making sure everything is perfect.
It is a shame Pat no longer works at Steel Wrist, as he was so good to deal with. His new business will be a success because Pat has the passion and knowledge of the industry. Such a genuine man, always give brilliant customer service.
